Gambling on #DeFi

My experience going from CEX to DEX

I've traded a lot on centralized exchanges. I've started my crypto experience in February 2012, when one Bitcoin β€” let that sink in β€” was still available for a mere 4€. I've traded on bitcoin.de, on MtGox (RIP), on BTC-e (RIP), on Cryptsy (RIP), on Bittrex, on Polo (RIP... it would be more efficient if I mark those exchanges which are still alive πŸ˜‰), and eventually ended up on BitMEX (not using that defunct platform, anymore) and Binance. According to my tax declarations, I've traded total volumes in the eight figures per year. Read this article to get an idea of what I think has happened, why this is important and why this is all but unexpected.

Because soon after I entered crypto, I realized that there are lots of crooks and frauds who tell you anything to make a profit. After all, this is about money, and where money can be made, you will also find human waste which tries to separate you from yours.

This article should serve as a guideline for noobs who don't have years of experience with scams and how to spot them. So, let's dive right into it!
